Untangle your complexities with unified IT infrastructure management

Roll out new applications, releases and technologies faster with a unified and flexible approach to IT Infrastructure management and monitoring.

Do you feel like your IT team is always tangled in complexity as Kip is in the comic? Especially when you have a new application or release being rolled out, it takes long hours for the team to setup the appropriate IT monitoring and management tools.

In some cases they end up buying additional tools which actually ends up increasing complexity as you will have more tools to manage and maintain.

In the application economy success critically depends on your organization’s ability to deliver differentiated customer experiences through the use of new applications and technologies and that too before your competition. You cannot afford for your IT team to be in the slow lane and be stuck in painful, time consuming implementations, integrations and maintenance of multiple, complex tools.

To be successful, here are some steps to ensure your IT Infrastructure management approach.

Have a simple, unified back end architecture

To truly speed new application deployment, you need more than a single, unified view. The back end architecture of your IT management solution needs to be consistent across various IT infrastructure elements including servers, networks and cloud.

It would then allow you to provide “plug and play” architecture to your team. This will reduce complexity since all applications communicate through the same architecture and allow you to rapidly add new monitoring services without having to disrupt existing environment. A recent research by Aberdeen group supports this and states that organizations with unified infrastructure management tend to have 58 percent speedier application deployments.

Be flexible enough to make you “future” proof

Everyday new applications and technologies pop up that are being rapidly adopted by businesses. You cannot go and buy a new monitoring or management tool every time there is a new type of application being rolled out.

An example would be of big data infrastructures. They tend to sit in siloes within organizations as typical IT monitoring tools don’t support big infrastructures comprehensively yet.

Your IT monitoring architecture needs to be comprehensive enough to provide support for both legacy and new technologies. In addition it needs to give you the flexibility to create custom monitoring support as you need, by leveraging the same backend architecture.

A customer of ours recently claimed to be “future proof” by leveraging 140 out of the box monitoring capabilities and ability to easily add custom one’s when required.

Is your team still tangled in complexity? Are you thinking about changing your approach?  Have a look at this comic series in which Kip & Gary highlight even more everyday challenges IT teams face in an entertaining comic series.

Which one’s your favorite? Have they convinced you to redefine your infrastructure management approach?
